Following up on the incredible success of our Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony


 I want to take a moment to specifically recognize the extraordinary individuals who made this past weekend so special—starting with our phenomenal inductees.

To Judge Gary Caruso, Randall Marino, Stephanie Urchick, Charel Allen, and Ron Chromulak: Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for accepting this well-deserved honor. Your accomplishments are a testament to the foundation you built here, and the stories you shared have already had an immeasurable impact on our current students and the community. You are true role models, and we are profoundly proud to claim you as Greyhounds.

But an event of this caliber doesn't simply happen on its own.

I want to extend my deepest, most sincere gratitude to our incredible organizer, Sarah Grabby. Sarah, your tireless effort, meticulous planning, and passion for this district turned a concept into a flawless, heartwarming reality. The dedication you poured into every detail ensured the ceremony was not just organized, but truly memorable and respectful of our honorees' achievements.

Finally, a massive thank you to all the staff, faculty, and administration who pitched in. Whether you were setting up chairs, welcoming guests, running audio, or simply ensuring our facilities looked their absolute best, your commitment to excellence shone through. These collaborative efforts demonstrate the supportive spirit that defines our district.

This event was a team victory, and it reaffirms what we already know: Once a Greyhound, Always a Greyhound!We couldn't have restored so much pride to our school without every single one of you. Thank you for making this one of the most heartwarming weekends of the year.

Monessen School District Receives Generous Gym Floor Donation from ABM

 The Monessen School District is pleased to announce that ABM has generously donated a complete replacement of the high school gymnasium floor. Initially, ABM worked diligently to address problem areas through repair efforts and planned to replace one-third of the floor. Following further evaluation, ABM made the extraordinary decision to replace the entire gym floor at no cost to the district. Work is scheduled to begin this week, with an anticipated completion timeline of approximately four weeks. This project will ensure that our students, athletes, and community members have access to a safe, high-quality facility in time for the upcoming basketball season and physical education programs.
