Monessen School District Joins Forces with River Valley to Launch Transformational AI Grant Initiative
Yourway AI Grant Expands to Empower Monessen Educators and Students Through Strategic Regional Partnership

Monessen, PA – The Monessen School District is proud to announce it has been officially approved to join the groundbreaking Yourway AI Grant initiative through a regional partnership with River Valley School District. This strategic collaboration marks a bold step forward for public education in Western Pennsylvania, bringing artificial intelligence-driven tools and personalized learning solutions to Monessen classrooms.

Awarded initially to River Valley School District as the first national pilot site, the $1 million Yourway AI Grant aims to revolutionize K–12 education by supporting instructional equity, reducing teacher workload, and enhancing student engagement through advanced AI technologies. As a newly approved partner, Monessen will begin its implementation in Summer 2025, with onboarding, professional development, and instructional planning underway.

“This partnership allows Monessen to be at the forefront of educational transformation,” said Dr. Robert Motte, Superintendent of Monessen School District. “With River Valley’s support and guidance, we will ensure our students and educators benefit from the most innovative, forward-thinking tools available in public education today. It’s an exciting time for our district.”

The Yourway platform will provide Monessen teachers with real-time instructional support, reduce time spent on administrative tasks, and personalize student learning pathways based on performance data. It will also improve administrative efficiency by streamlining data dashboards and decision-making systems.

Mark Panicucci, President of the Monessen Board of School Directors, emphasized the long-term impact: “This isn’t just an investment in technology—it’s an investment in people. We’re proud to bring this opportunity to our teachers and students, and we believe it will transform how learning happens in Monessen for years to come.”

River Valley School District, the lead implementation partner, will work closely with Monessen to guide planning, provide training support, and share key insights from their success with the Yourway platform.
